- Sian Williams has been announced as the new face Channel 5’s flagship evening news programme. Williams has worked for the BBC for over ten years
- Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson has added the title of assistant editor to his existing role of US news editor for the FT. Under his leadership, the New York news desk will take more responsibility for global news from the end of the London day. The announcement was accompanied by news of several new U.S. appointments, including five new newsroom roles
- James Ashton is to step down from his role as Executive Editor of the London Evening Standard and The Independent titles. He will continue to write a column for the Standard
- Isabel Hunter has been appointed UK online reporter and Marc Jackson has been promoted to UK assistant showbusiness editor at the Mail Online
- Dennis Publishing has announced the launch of The Week Junior, a new edition of The Week aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 14. The title will be edited by Anna Bassi with the first issue available on Friday 20 November.
- Simon Fielding has been appointed news editor at Spirit FM. He was previously group head of news at Anglian Radio
- Alice Cuffe has been appointed lifestyle and ecommerce editor at International Business Times UK
- Patrick Daly has left his role as political correspondent at the Plymouth Herald
- Kirsty Edwards has left her role as sports reporter at East Midlands Today
Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment
- Jane Taylor-Hayhurst been appointed acting senior fashion editor at Grazia (UK), covering Gemma Hayward’s maternity leave
- Cyan Turan has been promoted to features writer at The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous Magazine
- Harriet Notton has been appointed showbiz writer at Best. She was previously the entertainment writer and editorial assistant at ZOO
- Thomas Gorton has been appointed deputy online editor at Dazed Digital. He was previously news editor at the publication
- Julia Scirrotto has been appointed editor at You and Your Wedding
- Matt Burgess has been appointed staff writer at Wired
- Rebecca Holman has been appointed editor of The Debrief
- Lina Psaila has been appointed digital editor at Galante
- Mia Luckie has been appointed digital assistant at Sheerluxe
- Emma Bradley has been appointed editor at the Tots100. She is joined by a new vlogs editor Sian, author of the Helpful Mum blog.

- Gemma Balmford, editor at Retail Week, has returned from maternity leave
- Shelina Begum has been promoted to chief business reporter at Manchester Evening News
- Jeremy Wilson has been appointed politics reporter at Business Insider UK
- Tom Pakinkis is stepping down as editor of Music Week and will be replaced by Mark Sutherland
- Tom Hall has been appointed editor at Exhibition World
- Emma Hudson has been promoted to editor at publication Access All Areas
- Legal Week has a brand new website. The new site, launched after extensive reader research, is designed to make the brand’s news, analysis and features easier to find and more enjoyable to read on any device
