News & current affairs
- Kevin O’Sullivan has stepped down from his role as editor of the Irish Times. He will be replaced by current deputy editor Paul O’Neill with immediate effect. Kevin will take up a new position as environment, agriculture and science editor at the title
- Channel 4 News has announced that head of foreign news Nevine Mabro has been promoted to deputy editor. Nevine replaces Shaminder Nahal who recently left the programme to join Channel 4’s Specialist Factual Commissioning team. Also at the programme, Oliver King has been appointed head of output from his previous role as chief programme editor
- John Fitzpatrick has been promoted to night news editor at the Daily Express, taking over from Natalie Chalk. John was previously assistant news editor
- Amy Ashenden has been appointed senior video reporter at the Mirror Online. She was previously assistant video editor and LGBTQ correspondent at the Evening Standard Online
- Sue Webb has been appointed senior reporter at the Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian
- Jack Duggan has been appointed reporter at the Rugby Advertiser. He was previously a reporter at the Hastings & St Leonards Observer
- The Lancashire Telegraph has moved to a new home and is now based at 50-54 Church Street, Blackburn
- Michael Hann has left his role as music editor at the Guardian to go freelance
- Jonathan McCambridge has left his role as deputy editor at the Belfast Telegraph
Energy & Environment
- The Guardian has announced a number of new appointments. Jonathan Watts, currently the Guardian’s Latin America correspondent, has been appointed global environment editor and will take up his new role in July. Also at the title, Sandra Laville and Matthew Taylor, currently senior reporters in the Guardian’s UK newsroom, will join the team as environment correspondents. All three new team members will be based alongside environment editor Damian Carrington, environment correspondent Fiona Harvey and natural history writer Patrick Barkham in the Guardian’s London office

- Anne Marie-Curtis has been appointed editor in chief at ELLE and takes up her role with immediate effect. Anne-Marie was previously fashion director at the title
Lifestyle
- Paisley Gilmour has been appointed sex and relationships writer at Cosmopolitan.co.uk. She was previously the deputy features editor at Reveal
- Andrea Caamaño has returned from maternity leave to resume her role as website editor at HELLO! Former acting website editor Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon is now content editor at the title
- Laura Raphael has been appointed social media editor at Esquire. She was previously the assistant digital producer at 4Music
- Albertine Brandon has been promoted to commissioning editor at Blogosphere Magazine. She was previously events organiser and editorial assistant at the title

- Olivia Waring has been appointed showbiz reporter at Sun Online. Olivia was previously a reporter at metro.co.uk
- Amy Browne has been appointed acting executive editor, What’s On at the Liverpool Echo covering for Laura Davis while she’s on maternity leave
- Kate Lloyd has been promoted to commissioning editor, features at Time Out London. She was previously a senior staff writer at the title

- Helen Coffey has been appointed deputy head of travel at the London Evening Standard and the INDEPENDENT. Helen was previously a digital travel reporter at the EXPRESS
- Hugh Morris has been promoted to travel news editor at the Telegraph. He was previously content editor, travel at the title
- Lisa Walden has been appointed editorial and fashion assistant at Condé Nast Traveller. She was previously editorial assistant at GARAGE Magazine
Business and finance
- Josh Lee has been appointed web content manager and writer at Money Observer
- Priyanka Jethwa has been appointed reporter at Better Wholesaling

- Ben Heather has been appointed correspondent at the Health Service Journal covering technology and the West Midlands
