- The New Statesman has hired Stephen Bush as editor. He joins from The Telegraph
- Telegraph Media Group has hired Malcolm Coles, the executive responsible for Trinity Mirror’s UsVsTh3m, as its new director of digital media, The Guardian reported
- Kay Atwal has left her role as news editor at The Docklands and East London Advertiser, Newham Recorder and Barking and Dagenham Post
- BBC Radio Devon has announced Simon Bates as its new Breakfast presenter. His new show will start on Monday 12 January 2015
- Daniel Hannan’s blog for The Telegraph will be discontinued after 8 years as he moves to a new role at the website CapX. In Daniel’s last post he states that The Telegraph is moving most of its bloggers to the comment section
- Channel 4 News has appointed Jon Laurence as the new digital editor. Jon joins the network from the Telegraph Media Group where he is currently head of planning
- Lisa Cameron, sales director for Local World has been appointed publisher for the South West Wales Media business
- The Morpeth Herald is relocating to Telford Court, Loansdean. The new address will be: Unit 15, Telford Court, Loansdean, Morpeth NE61 2DB. The telephone numbers will be the same as they are at present

- Gabrielle Jaffe has been appointed features editor at Coast
- Jenny Kyte has been appointed celebrity writer at Woman’s Own
- Katrina Israel has been appointed fashion features editor at the Wallpaper. She was previously acting online fashion editor
- Lia Martin has been appointed beauty assistant at the Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country
- The List magazine is to become a free title with an increased print run from next year. The publication will also move from a monthly issue to every two months. The preview and weekly issues during the Edinburgh festival season will continue
Business & Finance
- Maisie McCabe has been appointed deputy editor at Campaign magazine. She was previously news editor
- Charlotte McEleny has been appointed digital editor at Marketing magazine
- Rebekah Thompson has been appointed editor at Tomorrow’s FM
- WeKnow Media Ltd (WKML) has appointed Alun Lewis as the new editor of M2M Now magazine. He takes over from Jeremy Cowan with immediate effect
- Megan Tatum has been appointed features writer at The Grocer
Health, Science & Technology
- Keith Andrew, editor, and staff writer Chris Kerr have left Pocketgamer.biz
- Tom Bramwell, former editor-in-chief at Eurogamer, has left the company after 15 years
- Jonny Williamson has been appointed web editor at The Manufacturer
