• Mark Austin is to step down from ITV News at the end of the year. He is currently presenter of the ITV Evening News
• Archant Suffolk have moved to new premises in Ipswich. Titles including the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star have now moved to Portman House on Princes Street
• George Bowden has joined the Huffington Post UK as a reporter covering socioeconomic and geopolitical issues. He was previously social media manager at The Sun
• Kate Langston has been appointed Westminster correspondent at the Yorkshire Post. She was previously political correspondent at the Western Morning News
• Chris Doidge has joined BBC Radio Leicester as news editor for six months. Doidge will return to his role as political reporter at BBC Derby following the attachment
• Sophie Prideaux has been appointed lifestyle editor at the Bristol Post. She was previously social media editor at the title
• Adrian Rutherford has been promoted to deputy news editor at the Belfast Telegraph
• Kevin Ward is stepping down as editor at the South Wales Argus on Friday. He will be replaced by current deputy editor Nicole Garnon who will become editor/head of content on 31st Oct
• Garrett Harte is to leave his role as editor in chief at Newstalk
• SalfordOnline.com the independent news website has announced that it is to close down
• Callum Jones has left his role as crime reporter at the Northampton Chronicle and Echo

• Casquette, a new women’s cycle magazine, has now launched. The 56 page quarterly provides pieces on entrepreneurship, success and sexism, along with fashion and beauty, reviews, travel, training and recipes. The publication is edited by Danielle Welton
• Georgina Holt has been appointed publisher at Cosmopolitan. Additionally Becci Vallis has been appointed acting beauty editor covering Cassie Powney’s maternity leave
• Craig Stewart has been appointed editor at Creative Bloq
• Tom Banham has been appointed deputy editor at Jocks&Nerds magazine. He was previously associate editor at FASHION BEANS
• Ashleigh Arnott has been appointed acting features editor at Waitrose Food covering Anna-Marie Julyan’s leave
• Daisy Jackson has been appointed Manchester editor at Emerald Street
• Deirdre O’Brien has been appointed entertainment editor at Best
• Holly Kirkwood has been appointed acting deputy editor at Closer Online
• Danielle Lett has been promoted to acting deputy editor at Soul & Spirit. She was previously editorial assistant at the title
• Jodie Spragg has been promoted to beauty writer and senior fashion assistant at Star and new! magazines. She was previously fashion and beauty assistant at these titles
• Clara Strunck has been appointed editorial assistant at Mr & Mrs Smith
• Henry Catchpole has left his role as features editor at Evo
