- Newsquest Sussex has launched the Mid Sussex Argus this week. The title will be distributed in towns and villages in Sussex
- Nick Gill has been appointed editor at The Comet and Royston Crow. He was previously news editor at these titles
- Hannah Britt has been promoted to deputy women’s editor at the Daily Express. She was previously senior women’s feature writer and takes over from Sophie Donnelly who has now left the title
- Jayne Thomson has been appointed news editor at the Birmingham Mail
- Liam Thorp has been appointed politics reporter at the Liverpool Echo. He was previously a chief reporter at The Bolton News
- Seamus Milne has left his role as associate editor at the Guardian. Following a period of unpaid leave from Guardian News & Media he has decided to continue in his role as the Labour party’s strategy and communications director
Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment
- Alexandra Shulman is to step down as editor in chief at Vogue this summer after 25 years at the helm. An announcement regarding a successor will be made in due course
- Immediate Media has announced the appointment of Michelle Royle as group editor of You & Your Wedding and Perfect Wedding. She takes up her position on the 1st February
- Janine Ratcliffe has been promoted to food director at olive. She was previously food editor at the title
- Penny Goldstone has been appointed digital fashion editor at Marie Claire. Also at the title, Rosie Benson has been appointed features assistant replacing Jenny Proudfoot who is now digital writer
- Marion Sauvebois has been appointed deputy editor across France Today and FrenchEntrée Magazine. She was previously a features writer at the Swindon Advertiser
- Kayleigh Rattle has been appointed deputy editor at Great British Food
- Sophie Ritchie has been promoted to web editor at Good Things. She was previously a features writer at the title
- Eleanor Vousden has been promoted to junior beauty editor at Powder. She was previously beauty assistant at the website
- Jane Czyzselska has left her role as editor at DIVA
Business and finance
- Ben Sillitoe has left his role as editor at EssentialRetail. Caroline Baldwin has taken over as editor at the website
- Marketing Week is to change its frequency from weekly to monthly. The final weekly edition will go out on the 26th January while the first monthly edition will be available on the 2nd March
- Emily Tan has been appointed technology editor at Campaign. She replaces Shona Ghosh who has now joined Business Insider UK as senior reporter
- Shruti Tripathi Chopra has been appointed deputy news editor at City A.M. She was previously deputy night editor at the title
- Josh O’Neill has been appointed assistant editor at WealthBriefing. He was previously a reporter at the website
- John Sleigh has been appointed Scottish editor at the Irish Farmers Journal
- Emanuele Midolo has been appointed reporter at Property Week
- Kristy Dorsey has been appointed reporter at Scottish Business Insider
- Susannah Birkwood has left her role as senior reporter at Third Sector to take up a global media role at international development charity Plan International

- Carly Page has been appointed editor at The Inquirer. She was previously commissioning editor at the website
- Alex Calvin, deputy editor at MCV, has announced via Twitter that he is leaving the title next month
