• Terry Hunt, the editor in chief at the East Anglian Daily Times, is to retire at the end of September. In the interim period, Brad Jones, Ipswich Star editor, will expand his role to take day to day responsibility for the EADT, as acting EADT editor. He will be supported by Steve Anglesey, content director for East Anglia
• Mike Wright has been appointed head of trending content at the Telegraph. Mike was previously head of social media at JOE.co.uk
• Evanna Holland has been appointed reporter at STV (Edinburgh). Evanna was previously a reporter at ITV Border
• NCJ Media, the publisher of The Journal, Chronicle, Chroniclelive and Sunday Sun, are set to relocate in early 2018. Currently located at Newcastle’s Groat Market, the organisation is set to move to new premises in Eldon Square
• The Cleethorpes Chronicle has announced that it has published its final edition due to tough trading conditions. The paper that served Cleethorpes and North East Lincolnshire was launched in March 2008
• Sam Blackledge has left his role as chief reporter at The Herald (Plymouth). He will be shortly joining ITV News West Country as a production journalist
