• Pearson confirms plans to sell the Financial Times to ‘global digital news company,’ The Telegraph reports
• Laura Kuenssberg has been appointed the BBC’s new political editor
• Jason Collie has been appointed assistant online editor at the London Evening Standard Online
• Lucy Hunter Johnston has been appointed as features editor at the London Evening Standard. She was previously associate editor of Independent Voices at the Independent
• James Ball, currently special projects editor at the Guardian, is to join Buzzfeed UK as special correspondent
• Rebecca Creed has been appointed as senior reporter at the Daily Gazette
• Kate McCann, currently Whitehall correspondent at The Sun, has announced via Twitter that she is to join the Daily Telegraph as senior political correspondent
• David Rankin, previously editor at Surrey Comet, has left the title
• Bethany Wash has been appointed reporter at the Thornbury Gazette

• Aisling O’Toole has been appointed editor at U Magazine
