- James Shotter has been appointed Central Europe correspondent at the Financial Times. Currently Frankfurt correspondent, his start date is to be confirmed. He replaces Henry Foy who has now become a correspondent in Moscow
- Bill Gardner is now deputy news editor at the Daily Telegraph. He was previously assistant news editor at the title
- Danya Bazaraa has been appointed online news reporter at the Mirror. She was previously a real life features writer at the Press Association
- Elizabeth Ammon has announced via Twitter that she has been appointed cricket news reporter at The Times
- Alan Dawson has been appointed sports reporter at BUSINESS INSIDER UK
- Emma Ray has been appointed content editor at the Coventry Telegraph. She was previously story editor at the Hinckley Times
- Ryan O’Donovan is to join getwestlondon in March as the new Fulham FC reporter. He starts his new role on March 6
- Rachel Dinning has been appointed reporter at the Gloucestershire Gazette
Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment
- Time Inc. UK’s homes group has rebranded its housetohome website to idealhome.co.uk. The launch of the new website follows Ideal Home magazine’s complete design overhaul and refresh of the entire content at the end of last year
- Patrick Galbraith has been appointed editor at Shooting Times & Country
- Patrick Tillard has been appointed editor at Gentleman’s Journal. Patrick was a former online editor at the title
- Bonita Turner has been appointed editor at Junior. She will continue to run her blog, Mama’s V.I.B, alongside her new role
- Karl Aston has been appointed editor at What’s What! magazine. He replaces former editor Kerri Tyler
- Alex Finnis has been appointed online editor at ShortList.com. He was previously deputy editor at Joe.co.uk
- There have been a couple of changes at Kerrang! Sam Coare is now deputy editor at the title and Emily Carter is now associate editor (production)
- Helena Cartwright has been appointed features writer at Woman’s Weekly
- Niamh Maher has been appointed content creator at Her.ie. She was previously news editor at Classic Hits 4FM
- Claire Vaughan has left her role as deputy editor at Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine to go freelance
Business and finance
- Fiona Garcia has returned from maternity leave to resume her role as editor at DIY Week. Former acting editor Jenny Wonnacott has returned to her role as news editor
- Daniel Searle has been appointed editor at Hoist, replacing Will North who has returned to his role as group editor at Hoist and Cranes Today
- There have been a number of changes at Times Higher Education. Chris Havergal has returned from paternity leave and is now news editor. Former news editor Simon Baker is now data editor. Additionally, Seeta Bhardwa has joined the title as student editor
- Sam Clayden has been appointed features editor at The MJ. He was previously a reporter at the title
- Tom Dines has joined Investors Chronicle as investment writer. He was previously the deputy editor at Pensions Expert
- Mark Latham has been appointed senior staff writer at Funds Europe
- Sophie Barnes has been promoted to deputy news editor at Inside Housing. She was previously a senior reporter at the title
Health, science and technology
- Pharmaceutical Visions, a quarterly publication for the global pharmaceutical industry, is being brought back after a 16 year hiatus. It will be published by Three Six and Nine Ltd, a new company based in the UK. Deanna Wilson, who edited the original from its launch in 1992, remains the editor. The first issue will be published in April 2017
- Chris Thursten has announced via Twitter that he is to leave the PC GAMER PRO channel at the end of the month to go freelance
