- The Daily Telegraph has chosen its 160th anniversary to introduce readers to a redesigned newspaper, with a new headline typeface and the restoration of the former gothic masthead.

- Hannah Nathanson has been appointed acting commissioning editor covering Violet Henderson’s maternity leave at Vogue magazine. Hannah was previously commissioning editor at the Evening Standard’s ES Magazine
- Sarah Jossel has been appointed deputy beauty editor at The Sunday Times Style magazine. She was previously deputy beauty editor at Glamour
- Fiona Hicks has been appointed assistant editor at Reader’s Digest
- Tilly Wheating has been appointed junior fashion assistant at Harper’s Bazaar
- Zsa Zsa Vella has been appointed digital content and community editor at Hip & Healthy
- Rebecca Lewis has been appointed entertainment reporter at Metro. She was previously evening writer at HELLO! Online
- Farrah Storr, currently editor of Women’s Health magazine, has been appointed editor of Cosmopolitan and Louise Court, currently editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, has been made director of editorial strategy and Content across Hearst Magazines UK
Business & Finance
- Caroline Baldwin has been appointed deputy editor at EssentialRetail specialising in eCommerce
- The Drum has hired Ronan Shields, executive editor of ExchangeWire in the newly created role of digital editor while Seb Joseph has been promoted to interim news editor, replacing Jessica Davies at the publication
- Samantha Loveday is to step down as editor of ToyNews and sister title Licensing.biz. Billy Langsworthy, currently deputy editor, will take over the editorship of both titles. He will be supported by Robert Hutchins, who has been promoted from staff writer to deputy editor
- The Oldham Evening Chronicle has launched a quarterly business magazine named Oldham Business Edge. The A4 magazine will initially be published each quarter and will be distributed to business and professional readers with an initial circulation of 2,500
