News & current affairs
- Sarah Sands has been appointed as the new editor at BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. Sarah is currently editor at the London Evening Standard
- Ranvir Singh has been appointed political editor at Good Morning Britain
- Michael Savage has been appointed policy editor at the Observer and takes up his position in May. Michael is currently chief political correspondent at The Times
- The Eastern Daily Press and the Norwich Evening News have relaunched with additional sections. The Archant titles now include a new section each day including Life & Style, Health & Wellbeing, Eat Norfolk, Arts & Culture and Family
- Wayne Ankers has been appointed editor at the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. He is currently associate editor at the Manchester Evening News and takes up his new position on 27 February
Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment
- DC Thomson has launched Scottish Caravans & Motorhomes. The quarterly publication will be edited by Robert Wight who is also editor at The Scots Magazine
- Mark Tisshaw has been appointed editor at Autocar with immediate effect. He was previously deputy editor at the title. Former editor Matt Burt is now executive editor
- Frances Leate has been appointed editor at Utopia Kitchen & Bathroom. She was previously editor at Gift Focus
- Carrie Mitchell has been appointed acting editor at i-on magazine. She was previously assistant editor (features & entertainment) at Essentials and goodtoknow
- Daisy Murray has been appointed junior digital writer at ELLE UK.COM
- There have been a couple of changes at 10 Magazine. Joel Traptow has been appointed fashion assistant and Finn Blythe has been appointed features assistant at the title
- David Godwin has been appointed digital editorial assistant at Tatler
- H2Open, the magazine for open swimmers, has been renamed and is now called Outdoor Swimmer. The title has also changed its frequency from bi-monthly to monthly. The first issue of Outdoor Swimmer will be April’s edition
- Sport Magazine has now closed. The final issue was pubished this week

- Ben Sillitoe has been appointed managing editor at The Moodie Davitt Report. He was previously the editor at EssentialRetail
- Karl Mathiesen has been named as the new editor at CLIMATE HOME taking up the role from March. He replaces current editor Ed King who is leaving the website shortly. Also, current news editor Megan Darby has been promoted to deputy editor and will take up her new role shortly
- Dave King has been appointed managing editor at Rotary. Previously editor-in-chief of Newsquest Berkshire & Buckinghamshire, which included editing the Reading Chronicle, Bucks Free Press, Slough & Windsor Observer and the Bracknell News, he can now be reached on [email protected]. - Beth Brearley has been appointed editor at fundstrategy. She was previously features editor at the title
- Isobel Markham has been promoted to editor at Private Equity International. She was previously a senior reporter at the title
- Sally Walmsley has been appointed as the new editor at Residential Property Investor
- Alistair Charlton has been appointed deputy technology editor at the International Business Times UK. He was previously senior technology reporter at the website
- Nick Jardine has been appointed news editor at Private Debt Investor. He was previously a senior editor at Pageant Media
- Clare Ruel has been appointed junior reporter at IBS Journal
Health, science and technology
- Adele Waters has been appointed editor of the British Veterinary Association’s journals, Veterinary Record and In Practice. She joins from her previous position as executive editor at the Health Service Journal
- There have been a number of changes at CBR Computer Business Review. Eleanor Burns has been promoted to editor and James Nunns has been promoted to deputy editor. Also joining the title are Joe Clark and Tom Ball as reporters
- Conor Allison has been appointed reporter at WAREABLE
