• John Boothman is to leave his position as BBC Scotland’s head of news and current affairs to work on the corporation’s Charter renewal bid
• Chris Evans has signed a three-year deal to lead BBC’s all-new Top Gear line-up
• Sky News has appointed John Sparks as Moscow Correspondent. John will be responsible for delivering the latest news and analysis from Moscow and the nearby regions across all Sky News’ platforms
• Sky News has appointed Robert Nisbet political correspondent at covering Anushka Asthana’s maternity leave. He was previously Sky’s Europe correspondent. Mark Stone is to become Europe correspondent
• Andrew Ellson has been appointed consumer affairs correspondent at The Times. He was previously deputy home news editor at the title
• BuzzFeed announced has appointed former Guardian US editor Janine Gibson to the role of editor-in-chief for BuzzFeed UK
• Charlie Robin Jones has announced via Twitter that he has been appointed commissioning editor at the Guardian’s world networks desk
• Anna Dubuis has been appointed online news reporter at Mirror Online
• John Ward has been promoted to deputy editor/news editor at the Daily Star Sunday. He was previously a reporter at the title
• Calum Ross has been promoted to political editor at Press & Journal (Aberdeen). He was previously the paper’s Westminster correspondent
• Nicola Adam, editor of Lancaster Guardian/Morecambe Visitor, has stepped down from her post and is starting new role as group editor at Garstang Courier, Longridge News, Lytham St Annes Express, Fleetwood Weekly News and Chorley and Leyland Guardian as well as deputy editor at Lancashire Evening Post
• Phil Duncan has been appointed as Formula 1 Correspondent at Press Association Sport
• Emma Gallagher has been appointed as sports editor at Sligo Champion. She was previously a reporter at the title
• Shams Al-Shakarchi has been promoted to content editor at Surrey Mirror

Fashion, Lifestyle & Entertainment

• Francesca Zedda has been appointed executive beauty editor at Harper’s Bazaar and Town&Country. She was previously executive fashion and jewellery editor at Town&Country
• Angelica Pursley has been appointed online editor at Hunger magazine
• Francesca Cowling has been appointed deputy editor and Vicky Warrell has been appointed editorial assistant at Your Fitness
• Laura Atri has been appointed features writer at Wedding and Wedding Flowers & Accessories magazines
• Charlotte Page has been appointed as lifestyle assistant at Wedding magazine
• Gila Polak has been promoted to senior fashion and beauty executive at Hello! And Hello! Fashion Monthly. She was previously fashion & beauty coordinator
• Dundee-based media company DC Thomson has purchased the Scottish women’s lifestyle title, No.1 Magazine

• The Sunday Telegraph has appointed Marianne Jones editor of Stella magazine. Marianne joins from Grazia, where she has been deputy editor since it launched in 2005

• Kate Salter has been appointed as deputy editor at London Magazine. She was previously features editor at the Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine
• ELLE UK has hired Lotte Jeffs as deputy editor. Lotte will join ELLE on 13 July and will report to Lorraine Candy, editor-in-chief

• Clare Geraghty has been appointed news editor at OK! magazine. She was previously at the Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine
• Lena De Casparis has been appointed culture director for the ELLE magazine and website

• Annie Vischer has been appointed beauty writer at Woman and Essentials magazines. She was previously deputy editor at Beauty & The Dirt
• Nikki Dutton has been appointed editorial assistant at Top Sante and Mother & Baby
• Riccardo Chiudioni has been appointed style assistant at Men’s Health
• Immediate Media’s What Mountain Bike has undergone a new redesign with increased focus on buying advice and bikes and gear testing

• Andrew Wade has been appointed senior news reporter at TheEngineer. He was previously senior news reporter at Digital Ship
• Petah Marian has been appointed senior editor, retail intelligence at WGSN
• Emily Douglas has been appointed as staff writer at HR Grapevine
• Jessica Reid has been appointed editor, Asia Pacific at StrategicRISK. Jessica was previously executive editor at Insurance Times
• Hannah Smith has now left her role as deputy editor at Investment Week
• Tim Compston has been appointed features editor at Security News Desk

Health, Science & Technology

• Dan Grabham has announced via Twitter that he is the new editor at T3 The Gadget Magazine. He was previously the editor at lifehacker UK
