- Sky News is launching a new Sunday morning programme hosted by former political correspondent Sophy Ridge. Sophy Ridge on Sunday will be a one hour programme that will focus on the political week in Westminster. The programme begins in the New Year on January 8th and will be edited by Toby Sculthorpe
- Mentorn Scotland has appointed Liam Hanley as the editor of BBC One’s Question Time. He joins from Radio 5 live and takes up the position from 1st December and will be based in Mentorn Scotland’s Glasgow office
- Greenways Publishing has announced the launch of The Hockey Paper. The weekly newspaper will focus on the Men’s and Women’s Premier Divisions, with reportage on hockey in Europe and internationally as well as interviews with high-profile players and features on grass roots, universities and schools. The first edition came out on 16 November
- Heather Saul has been appointed women’s editor at the i Paper. Currently people editor at the INDEPENDENT she joins on the 4th January
- Mark Ogden has joined ESPN as senior football writer. He was previously the chief football correspondent at the INDEPENDENT
- Katie Forster has been appointed online news reporter at the INDEPENDENT. She was previously features assistant at the Observer Magazine. Also at the website Rachel Hosie has been appointed lifestyle writer
- Veronica Kan-Dapaah, global head of video at the Financial Times, has returned from leave
- Fiona Pringle has been appointed reporter at the Edinburgh Evening News. She was previously at the Fife Free Press Group in the same role
- Asha Carlos has been appointed What’s On writer at The Sentinel
- Charlie Croasdale has been appointed Chester FC reporter at the Leader. He was previously a sports reporter at the title
- Richard Browne has been appointed sports reporter at the Somerset County Gazette

- Lisa Harvey has been appointed acting features director at Glamour. Additionally, Ali Pantony is now acting deputy features editor
- Anna Walker has been appointed associate editor at Reader’s Digest across digital and print. She was previously assistant digital editor at the title
- Louise Bulgin has been appointed deputy features editor at Best. She was previously a senior writer at Pick Me Up and Chat
- Amelia Smith has been appointed content producer at Real Homes
- Elysia Agnew has been appointed lifestyle editor at luxe magazine
- Laura Donaldson has been appointed online news and TV reporter at OK! She was previously the editorial assistant at heat magazine
- Henry Robertshaw has been appointed news writer at Cycling Weekly. He was previously tech writer at the title
- Joanne Toolan has been appointed junior fashion assistant at the Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine
- Daisy Jordan has been appointed fashion assistant at the Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine
- Fiona Day has left her role as writer at heat to join NBC as news social distribution editor
Business and finance
- Haymarket Media Group have announced the acquisition of the World Architecture News (WAN) and World Interiors News (WIN) websites and awards from Built Environment Media. The World Architecture News and World Interiors News assets will become part of Haymarket’s Energy and Environment group. The deal is expected to complete by the end of November
- Harriet Agnew has been appointed Paris correspondent at the Financial Times. She was previously the City correspondent at the title
- Tom Fitzpatrick, deputy editor, has been appointed acting editor at Construction News covering Rebecca Evans’ maternity leave. Rebecca will be on maternity leave from Friday 25 November until late 2017
- Molly Dyson has been promoted to online editor at PA Life. She was previously deputy editor at the title
- Carlos Tornero has been appointed senior reporter at responsible-investor.com. He was previously editor at The Accountant
