- Colin Murray, current host of the late morning show, has announced that he is to leave talkSPORT. Murray’s final show will be on 2nd September. His departure follows in the wake of News Corp’s £220m deal to purchase the Wireless Group, the owner of talkSPORT, in June. In a separate development, Stan Collymore has also announced that he is leaving he station, after the station withdrew its offer of a new contract
- Laura Oliver is leaving The Guardian at the end of this week as the Head of Social and Community
- Carmella de Lucia is now on maternity leave from the Chester Chronicle
Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment
- The Sun has launched Popcorn, a free magazine and online channel devoted to the film industry. It will be published in partnership with Sky Cinema. The magazine will be offered free with the Sun on Saturday on 16 July as well as being available on thesun.co.uk and will be edited by Jamie East
- National Geographic Traveller Photography Magazine has been launched as a digital publication. There will be 10 new issues a year and will be edited by Tamsin Wressell
- Warners Group Publications, publisher of BRM, Traction, Garden Rail and Narrow Gauge World, has announced that it is the new owner of Engineering in Miniature. Warners first issue will be the September edition
- Elysha Krupp has been promoted to managing editor at AskMen. She was previously fine living and lifestyle editor at the website
- Maria Coole has been appointed acting executive editor at Closer covering Sophie Barton’s maternity leave
- Sophie Qureshi has been appointed acting beauty and style director at Marie Claire covering Lisa Oxenham’s maternity leave
- Gemma Hayward has returned from maternity leave back to her role as senior fashion editor at Grazia
- Natalie Osborn has been appointed houses editor at GoodHomes. She was previously deputy editor at HomeStyle
- Harriet Hall has been promoted to features editor at STYLIST.co.uk. She was previously a writer at the website. Also Moya Crockett has been appointed digital writer at the site
- Kasia Delgado has been promoted to assistant features editor at Radio Times. She was previously a writer at the title
- Jamie Carson has been appointed online style writer at ShortList.com
- Kat Poole has been appointed writer at Emerald Street
- Maddy Alford has been appointed fashion assistant at Cosmopolitan
- Abby Rose has been appointed editorial assistant at Woman and Woman’s Own

- Alex Grant has been appointed editor at Fleet World. He replaces Steve Moody who has moved into the publisher role at the Fleet World group
- Denise Chevin has been appointed editor at Construction Manager
- Francois Badenhorst has been appointed deputy editor at BusinessZone
- Tabby Kinder has been promoted to news editor at The Lawyer. She was previously deputy news editor at the title
- Alison Potter has been appointed tech researcher/writer at Which?
- Iain Hoey has been appointed editorial assistant at Shopping Centre

- Jonathan Easton has been appointed deputy editor at PCR. He was previously deputy editor at Global Cement and Global Gypsum
- Esther Oxford and Sharon Brennan have both been appointed correspondents at the Health Service Journal
- Roland Moore-Colyer is leaving Incisive Media on Friday to go freelance. He is currently a news reporter at Computing, V3 and The Inquirer
- Daniel Robinson will be leaving his role as technology editor at V3.co.uk on Friday
