News & Current Affairs
- Newsquest Media Group has announced the completion of its purchase of the Isle of Wight County Press
- Brendan Walsh has been appointed editor at The Tablet. Brendan has been acting editor since the beginning of the year. He succeeds Catherine Pepinster who stepped down in December 2016 after 13 years in the role
- James Rothwell has been appointed Brexit correspondent at the Daily Telegraph and takes up his new role from August. James is currently a foreign news reporter at the title
- Giles Winn, currently head of interviews at Sky News, is set to leave the broadcaster to join Pagefield in September
Government & Politics
- Kate Devlin has been appointed deputy political editor at the Sunday Express. Kate was previously Westminster correspondent at the Herald
Home
- Hearst UK has announced two new senior editorial appointments across six of its brands as it streamlines its Lifestyle & Homes titles into a new division. Good Housekeeping, Prima and Red will come together as a Lifestyle Group while Country Living, ELLE Decoration and House Beautiful will align as a Homes Group, with each group led by a group editorial director.
- Sarah Bailey takes on the newly created role of group editorial director of Good Housekeeping, Red and Prima and Susy Smith has been appointed group editorial director of Country Living, House Beautiful and ELLE Decoration
- Each individual magazine brand will be overseen by an executive editor and these appointments will be announced in the next few days. Sarah was previously editor-in-chief of Red, joining the brand in 2013 and Susy Smith has been editor-in-chief of Country Living since 1995. Sarah and Susy will start their roles with immediate effect
- Future has announced the acquisition of Centaur Media’s Home Interest division, a portfolio that includes Real Homes, Period Living and Homebuilding & Renovating
- Becca Green has been appointed editorial assistant at HomeStyle
Business & Finance
- Dennis Publishing has acquired MoneyWeek and the brand will join Dennis’ Current Affairs division. Editor and co-founder Merryn Somerset Webb, as well as editor John Stepek, will continue to edit the title under Dennis’ ownership. The team will transfer to Dennis’ new central London offices in Alfred Place over the coming weeks
- Florist Business magazine, a new trade title covering the flower industry, will launch in September 2017. Published by Eljays44, the title will be led by editor Hannah Dunne and will be distributed monthly to UK florists and industry buyers
- Grant Turnbull has been appointed editor at Land Warfare International and Digital Battlespace. He replaces former editor Tim Fish who left last month
- Valentina Romeo has been promoted to head of investment news at Money Marketing. She was previously an investment reporter at the title and at fund strategy
- Nye Longman has been appointed reporter at HFMWeek. Nye was previously a commissioning editor at BizClick Media

- Jack Pusey has been promoted to deputy digital showbiz editor at the Daily Star Online. Jack was previously online senior showbiz reporter at the site
- Marianne Eloise has been appointed digital staff writer at Dazed Digital
Travel
- Victoria Beardwood has been appointed associate editor at easyJet Traveller
- Crystal Chung has been appointed deputy news editor at TTG. Crystal was previously a news reporter at Barcroft Media
Beauty
- Sarah Parsons has been promoted to assistant editor at Cosmetics Business. She was previously a reporter at the title
Technology
- Claire Lancaster has been appointed UK tech and entrepreneur editor at the culture trip
- Zach Emmanuel has been appointed reporter at ComputerWeekly.com
Lifestyle
- Gentlemans Butler has launched its new website offering a luxury magazine focusing on elegance and style and offering concierge membership for those requiring a bespoke service. In addition, Gentlemans Butler is also launching ‘Le Flaneur’ a newsletter roundup of the title’s activities and recommendations. The site is edited by Michael Grenville
- Alex Roddie has been appointed online editor at The Great Outdoors replacing Will Renwick who has now joined outdoor magic
Sports
- John Evely has been appointed sports reporter at the Bristol Post. John was previously sports editor at the Rutland & Stamford Mercury, Rutland Times and The Local (Bourne)
Food
- Dan Izzard has been appointed online editor at Crumbs magazine
Motoring
- There have been a couple of changes at Auto Express. Sam Naylor has been promoted to senior reviewer from his position of news reporter. In addition, James Brodie is now staff writer having previously been editorial assistant at the title
