News & Current Affairs
- Jason Burt has been appointed chief football correspondent at the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph and John Mullin has been appointed head of sports news and will be joining the publication in September. The Daily Telegraph has also appointed Sam Wallace as chief football writer
- Sophie Brownson has been appointed senior reporter at Sunderland Echo
- Douglas Dickie has been promoted to editor at Rutherglen Reformer. He was previously senior reporter. Douglas takes over from Kenny Smith who has moved on to sister publication the Ayrshire Post
- Dave Burke has been appointed news editor at Hampstead & Highgate Express. He was previously news editor at Welwyn Hatfield Times
- The Express & Star and Shropshire Star have launched an 8-page football supplement called Kick-Off which will be published every Saturday. The publications have also introduced a 12 page section, Final Whistle, in their Monday’s paper which will include news and analysis from the weekend’s big games
- Lancashire Telegraph has launched a new Asian edition called Lancashire Evening Telegraph Asian Image Edition. It will be published every Friday

- The Daily Telegraph has appointed Mark Hudson chief art critic and Alastair Sooke has been appointed art critic and columnist
- Hayley Minn has been appointed online showbiz reporter at OK! She was previously showbiz journalist at Bang Showbiz
- Helen Graves has been appointed food and drinks editor at the Londonist
- Linh Ly has left her role as junior fashion editor at Harper’s Bazaar
- OMG! ceases title and takes over Love It! magazine with new team
Business & Finance
- The Financial Times has appointed Demetri Sevastopulo as Washington bureau chief, to lead the FT’s coverage of US politics and policy and the 2016 presidential election. He will assume the role with immediate effect
- Joanne Birtwistle has returned from maternity leave and is the publications editor for BusinessDesk.com
- Robyn Wilson has been promoted to deputy news editor at Construction News. She was previously the property correspondent at the title
Health, Science & Technology
- Lucy Hedges has been appointed technology editor at the Metro
- Matthew Wright has left his role as editor of Clinical Pharmaciston 31st July
