• Matt Dathan is to join The Sun as political correspondent. He is currently UK political correspondent at MailOnline
• Mario Ledwith has been appointed Brussels correspondent at the Daily Mail. He was previously a news reporter at the title
• Adam Cullen has been appointed investigations correspondent at the Irish Daily Star. He was previously a news reporter at the Irish Independent
• Ian Singleton has been appointed online editor at BBC Sport
• Fiona Dart has been appointed editor at Blackmore Vale Magazine replacing former editor Tim Lethaby
• Brendan McFadden has been appointed senior multimedia reporter at The Star (Sheffield)
• The Guardian’s Roy Greenslade is set to end his media blog at the end of the month after over 10 years. He will continue writing for the paper but no longer on a daily basis

Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment

• Hubert Burda Media, the Munich-based technology and media company, have announced the 100% acquisition of Immediate Media Co from private equity investor Exponent and Management. Hubert Burda Media UK is home to brands such as YourHome and Wedding while Immediate Media’s brands include the Radio Times, olive and Lonely Planet Traveller.
• Online men’s style title FashionBeans has promoted Luke Todd to deputy editor. Luke, who has held a number of roles at the title including news editor, replaces Cillian O’Connor who recently left to go freelance. Additionally, Natasha Daniels has been announced as associate editor. She joins from Show Media where she was digital content editor and is interested in hearing about men’s fashion, grooming and lifestyle stories
• Halina Watts has been appointed showbiz editor at the Sunday Mirror. She was previously assistant showbiz editor at the Daily Mirror
• Lara Martin has been appointed deputy celebrity editor at Mirror Online. She was previously web editor at Reveal
• Rivkie Baum has been appointed fashion stylist and writer at the Daily Express
• Katie Nicholls has been appointed editor at Salisbury Life. She replaces former editor Tamara Pitelen
• Anastasia Bernhardt has been promoted to features and food editor at Country & Town House. She was previously features assistant and food editor at the title
• There have been a number of changes at hellomagazine.com. Ainhoa Barcelona has been appointed deputy online editor, while Gemma Strong is now online news editor and Julie Delahaye is now the online lifestyle editor
• Cormac O’Brien has been appointed film editor at CANDID. He replaces former film editor Dominic Preston
• Jess Commons has been appointed health and living editor at REFINERY29. She was previously deputy editor at the Debrief
• Gillian Brett has been appointed fashion features associate at PORTER
• Natalya Paul has been appointed social media editor at Stuff
• Hollie Brotherton has been appointed editorial assistant at Glamour. She was previously the fashion features and entertainment assistant at Marie Claire. Also at the title, Gregory Allen has been appointed beauty assistant
• Elle Sixsmith has been appointed beauty assistant at Marie Claire
• Francesca Carington has been appointed features assistant at Tatler
• Catriona Wightman has left her role as entertainment editor at Digital Spy

• Josie Cox has been appointed business editor at the INDEPENDENT. She joins from the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires
•  Tim Burt has been appointed editor at Procurement Leaders. He was previously deputy editor at the title
• Paul Snell has been appointed deputy editor at B2B Marketing. He was previously managing editor at Supply Management
• Adam Williams has been appointed product researcher and writer at Moneywise. He was previously senior reporter and features editor at Mortgage Solutions and Your Mortgage
• Paloma Kubiak has been promoted to senior reporter at YourMoney.com. She was previously a reporter at the website
• Matt Strudwick has been appointed reporter at The Grocer. He was previously a reporter at the Surrey Advertiser
