- Gordon Smart has been appointed deputy editor at The Sun. He is currently the editor of the Sun’s Scottish edition. Also Dan Wootton has been promoted to associate editor (showbiz and TV) and will be responsible for running the Bizarre column plus a new section called Bizarre TV
- Neil Ashton is set to join The Sun on 11th March as chief football reporter. He was previously the chief football correspondent at the Daily Mail
- Paul Mason has announced via Facebook that he is leaving Channel 4 News to go freelance. He was previously the economics editor at the programme
- News UK’s operations north of the border, including titles the Scottish Sun and the Times Scotland, will now be known as ‘News Scotland’
- Matt Lawless is to join the Mirror Online as assistant sports editor on March 21st. He leaves his role as deputy sports editor at MailOnline today
- talkRADIO has announced another batch of presenters ahead of its launch on March 21st. Eamonn Holmes and former XFM host Jon Holmes are among those revealed
- Pat Leahy has been appointed deputy political editor at the Irish Times. He was previously the deputy editor and political editor at the Sunday Business Post
- Peter Barron the editor at the Northern Echo is stepping down after 17 years in the post. A successor will be announced in due course
- The Gloucester Citizen has closed its office in Oxebode. Staff will remain in Gloucester but will based in the head office in Cheltenham

- Vice Media has announced its new European channel Viceland will be launching on Sky in September. The channel will run 24 hours a day
- Timothy Barber will be joining Telegraph Time as their watch editor in May. He is currently the editor at QP
- olive magazine has undergone a redesign with a new look and new features
- Running fitness magazine has been renamed and is now known as Running
- Donna McConnell has been appointed editor in chief at WENN (World Entertainment News Network)/Cover Media
- Naida Redgrave has been appointed editor at Professional Jeweller. She replaces former editor Sarah Jordan
- Helen Aird has been appointed editor at Highland Life magazine. She was previously the news editor at the Inverness Courier
- Natasha Wynarczyk has been appointed senior content creator at Woman’s Weekly. She was previously a features writer at Chat and Pick Me Up. Additionally Sarah Holmes has joined the title as features creator
- Felicity Martin has been promoted to deputy editor at Clash magazine. She was previously new music editor at the title
- Neeru Sharma has been promoted to lifestyle writer at Closer. She was previously editorial assistant at the title
- Katie Avis-Riordan has been appointed editorial assistant at Coast

- Andrew Gaved has been appointed editor in chief across both H&V News and RAC magazines
- Ben Cronin has been appointed editor at SportBusiness International. He was previously the features editor at New Civil Engineer
- Michaila Hancock has been appointed commercial editor at New Civil Engineer
- Michael Moore has been appointed finance editor at Bloomberg News – London. He was previously a reporter for Bloomberg based in New York. Additionally Lucy Meakin has been appointed Bank of England Reporter at Bloomberg News – London and will start her role shortly. She is currently their bonds & FX Reporter
- Francesca Washtell has been appointed reporter at City AM
- Murad Ahmed has been appointed leisure correspondent at the Financial Times. He is currently the European technology correspondent at the title and starts his new role in April
- Jonathan Bunn has been appointed senior reporter at LGC Local Government Chronicle

- Taylor Anderson has been appointed editor at NetDoctor.co.uk. She was most recently digital health and wellbeing editor for Hearst where she led the relaunch and editorial rebrand of NetDoctor. Becky Fletcher has also been appointed senior digital writer at the website. Becky joins from the Daily Express where she was online health reporter
- Annabelle Collins has been promoted to deputy features editor at Chemist+Druggist. She was previously a reporter at the title
- Matt Farrington-Smith has been appointed reviews editor across v3.co.uk, Computing and The Inquirer
- Brett Phipps has been appointed games editor at TrustedReviews.com. He was previously SEO assistant at the Independent
- Richard Staines is set to join pharmaphorum as reporter. He was previously a reporter at APM Health Europe
