• Trinity Mirror have announced that the New Day newspaper is to close. The title which was launched 2 months ago and edited by Alison Phillips will publish its final copy on Friday 6th May
• Freddy Mayhew has been appointed news editor at PressGazette. He was previously news editor at Newham Recorder
• Eastbourne Buzz a new website has recently launched. The site is edited by Sharon Williams
• Leigh Holmwood has left his role as deputy head of TV at The Sun
• Geoff Maynard has been appointed head of news at the Daily Express. He was previously news editor at the title

• Natalie Lukaitis has been appointed digital beauty editor at Marie Claire. She was previously the acting beauty editor at Stylist
• Victoria Jowett has been appointed acting digital beauty editor at Cosmopolitan. She was previously a beauty writer at Look
• Abigail Malbon has been appointed digital writer at woman&home
• Elle Turner has been promoted to fashion and beauty assistant at The Pool. She was previously fashion and beauty intern at the website
• Bryony Bowie has been appointed editorial assistant at Tesco Magazine
• BBC Good Food magazine has relaunched. The changes include new content reflecting the food scene in Britain and beyond, new talent including guest chefs and renowned journalists and a new look containing more pages and bigger format

• Jason Mills has been appointed editor in chief at MoneySavingExpert.com. He takes up the role on the 4th July from his current role as head of digital at ITV News. Kirsty Good will also be joining the website, in a newly created role, as campaigns editor. She is currently the Sky News business editor
• Jessica Pike has been appointed editor at B2B Marketing. She was previously a managing editor at Intelligent Media
• Katie Smith has been appointed editor at Confectionery Production and Sweets & Snacks World. She was previously news editor at just-style.com
• Samantha Downes has been appointed assistant editor at Financial Adviser
