- Newsquest is set to launch a new title, The Post, this Friday. The paper will be a sister publication to the daily Lancashire Telegraph and will focus on human interest-style news stories and features
- Michael Wilkinson, current political correspondent and homepage editor at the Daily Telegraph, has been appointed head of digital content for the Liberal Democrats. Also at the paper, Harry Yorke has been appointed online education editor. He was previously a general news reporter at the title
- Heather Saul has started her role as women’s editor at the i Paper. She was previously people’s editor at the INDEPENDENT
Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment
- Alexandra Jones has been appointed commissioning editor at Stylist. She was previously senior features writer at the title
- Dominique Temple has been promoted to beauty editor at Glamour. She was previously junior beauty editor at the title
- Georgia Farquharson has been promoted to online editor at new!
- Jessica Taverner has been promoted to style editor at Good Homes from her previous role as style assistant. Former style editor Alison Lovett has now left the title
- Anna Glover has been appointed creative food editor at Sainsbury’s Magazine
- Esther Coombes is now senior lifestyle executive at HELLO! and HELLO! Fashion Monthly. She was previously senior fashion & beauty executive at these titles
- Katie Avis-Riordan has been appointed web writer at House Beautiful and Country Living. She was previously editorial assistant at Coast magazine
- Abbie Skliarsky has been appointed editorial assistant at Boots Health & Beauty. She was previously beauty assistant at Marie Claire
- The Football.London website has recently launched and Tom Marshall-Bailey is the new editor. The site features football news from all the London based Premier League teams
Business and finance
- Dow Jones Media Group has announced a complete relaunch of Financial News, its London-based digital and weekly print newspaper, which recently celebrated 20 years of publication. Financial News’ new digital platform is now available at www.fnlondon.com and will showcase insight and opinion from names in economics, finance, politics and the markets, as well as a new section dedicated to people who work in the financial sector, including news on business education, employment trends and workplace issues. The relaunch extends to Financial News’ print edition, which also has an all-new look and feel
- Ascential has announced that it is to sell 13 ‘heritage’ titles including Drapers, Architects’ Journal and Nursing Times. The sell-off will leave Ascential with one print title, Retail Week
- Nick Warburton has been appointed deputy editor at IOSH Magazine
- Katie King has been appointed features editor at Legal Cheek. She was previously a reporter at the website
Health, science and technology
- Greg Williams has announced via Twitter that he is to be the new editor at Wired UK and will start his new role in February
