Top Five UK Jazz Blogs
To ensure there is no day the music dies between the Grammys and the BRITs, Cision is making this week MusicWeek -five consecutive days of music-flavoured comment and analysis, beginning here with Cision Europe’s Top Five UK Jazz Blogs.
The UK jazz blogosphere reviews jazz recordings and live gigs celebrating all aspects of jazz, from the 1920s African American communities, Bebop and Latin Jazz as well as Acid Jazz .
At Orgy in Rhythm, ‘crate digger’ Bacoso’s shares his thoughts on jazz from the 1960s and 1970s as well as reviewing rare soundtracks. Private Press’s Katonah also focuses on rarities, whose identities are often only revealed through the combined efforts of the blog’s community. Sebastian Scotney’s list of recommended gigs in the capital can be found at LondonJazz, whereas Bebop Spoken Here links to restaurants and other venues holding events and performances across the country. Thejazzbreakfast is more industry-focused, providing links to jazz labels and promotion agencies.
