TAKE 5 with Andrea’s Passions…
‘Andrea’s Passions‘ travel and food blog has just launched.
Here is a quick 5 minute interview to find out more about what it’s all about…
Why did you decide to start blogging?
I started blogging because I think it serves as an incredible memory bank; a diary that you will never lose or ruin, is full of pictures, and is accessible anywhere, at any time. I’ve always loved taking pictures, as I think they capture unforgettable moments, but it’s so easy for photos to get forgotten in an iPhoto album – matching them with text became the obvious solution to making sure that they provided the full picture and had real meaning. I blog first and foremost for myself, then for my family & close friends, but anyone who wants to join the party is more than welcome, and I’m thrilled to have met some awesome people through my blog.
Why cooking, food and travel?
Because I am food obsessed! I spend all day every day thinking about food and counting down the minutes to my next meal, so naturally my life revolves around a lot of food-related affairs.
What or who inspires you?
As cliché it is, my mum. She is a walking angel and I would be proud to be half the woman that she is! Other than that, positive people who go after what they want. I strongly believe that we are the masters of our own destiny, so I am all about chasing your dreams and seizing every opportunity with both hands.
What is your pitch to PRs? How would you prefer to be contacted by them?
I can’t say that I have a pitch… and, as a bit of a newbie to the blogging scene, I’ve only started talking with PRs very recently. So far, I’ve just introduced myself and told them a little about my blog, and find it best practice to always be honest and natural in what I do! As for contact preferences, I guess email is probably best for me.
Where would you like to see your blog in one year from now?
I’d like to see it filled with lots more adventures and awesome experiences. As I said, I write the blog for myself to look back on and smile at in the future, so hopefully there will be loads more posts that make me do just that! Since starting blogging I now also appreciate how awesome it is as a way of meeting people with the same passions as yourself, and I look forward to hopefully having made many more like-minded friends in a year’s time from now.
