- The deadline to submit an application to stand at the general election is the 11th May, after which a final list of parliamentary candidates will be confirmed.

Devolved Institutions
- Rachael Hamilton, Conservative Regional MSP for South Scotland, has resigned in order to stand in a Holyrood by-election. She hopes to win the constituency seat of Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire which has been vacated by fellow Conservative John Lamont. The by-election will take place on 8th June.
Northern Ireland Assembly
- Northern Ireland has until the 29th June to reach an agreement that will restore a power-sharing devolved executive.
European Parliament
- This week, the European Parliament will be holding Committee meetings in Brussels.
