UK Government
Andrew Jenkins has been appointed as the new Fintech Envoy for Northern Ireland.
Ben Derbyshire, Helena Hamerow and Sue Wilkinson have been appointed as Commissioners of the Historic England Board, for four years.
Ben Verwaayen has been reappointed as a board member at the Office of Communications, for four years.
Brian Jones has been appointed as High Commissioner to Solomon Islands and non-resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Nauru, succeeding David Ward.
Brian Leveson has been appointed to replace Adrian Fulford as Investigatory Powers Commissioner at the Investigatory Powers Commissioner’s Office.
Chris Armitt has been appointed as Deputy Chief Constable at the Civil Nuclear Constabulary.
David Jackson, Linda Neilan, Peter Caldwell and Peter McMurray have had their roles on the Northern Ireland Local Government Officers’ Superannuation Committee extended for six months or until permanent committee members have been appointed.
Helen Fordee and Jeannette Strickland have been reappointed as members of the Advisory Committee on National Records and Archives, for two years.
Jim Harra is now interim Chief Executive of HM Revenue & Customs, replacing Jonathan Thompson.
Jonathan Brearley has been chosen to replace Dermot Nolan as Chief Executive at the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets in February.
Jonathan Thompson is now Chief Executive of the Financial Reporting Council.
Sarah Falk has been appointed as a Senior Judicial Commissioner at the Judicial Appointments Commission, for three years.
House of Lords
Lord Bishop of Chester retired on 30th September.
Lord Ashton of Hyde replaced Lord Taylor of Holbeach as a Deputy Chairman of Committees, and replaced him as a member on the Procedure Committee, Selection Committee and Services Committee.
Baroness Chisholm of Owlpen and Lord Bethell have left the Communication Committee. Baroness Scott of Bybrook and Baroness Meyer have joined.
Earl Howe has replaced Baroness Evans of Bowes Park on the Liaison Committee.
Lord Judge became Convener of the Crossbench Peers, replacing Lord Hope of Craighead, and replaced him as a member on the Liaison Committee, Procedure Committee, Selection Committee and Services Committee.
Lord Mancroft has replaced Baroness Meyer Social on the Economic Impact of the Gambling Industry Committee.
Baroness Newlove has replaced Baroness Bloomfield of Hinton Waldrist on the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments.
Baroness Rock has replaced Baroness Bloomfield of Hinton Waldrist on the Science and Technology Committee.
