Government Departments
Cabinet Office
- Simon Hart MP has been appointed Conservative Party member of the Committee on Standards in Public Life.
Home Office
- John Mitting has been appointed Chair of the Undercover Policing Inquiry.
HM Treasury
- David Ramsden has been appointed Deputy Governor of Markets and Banking. He will replace Charlotte Hogg from the 4th September.
Foreign and Commonwealth Office
- Jon Wilks has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq. He will replace Frank Baker in November.
- Nicholas Kay has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
- Jessica Hand has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Angola.
Department of Health
- Steve Oldfield will become the first Chief Commercial Officer in October.
Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport
- Perdita Trust has been reappointed as a trustee of the National Heritage Memorial Fund and Heritage Lottery Fund.
House of Commons
The House of Commons in recess until Tuesday 5th September.

- The Scottish Parliament is in recess until Tuesday 5th September.
- The Welsh Assembly is in recess until Monday 18th September.
European Parliament
- The European Parliament is in recess until Monday 21st August.
