UK Government

Dame Judith Macgregor has been reappointed as Trustee of the British Tourist Authority.

Louise de Sousa has been appointed as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Chile.

The Queen has approved the appointment of the Reverend Canon Timothy Goode as a Member of the Churches Conservation Trust.

The Queen has approved the reappointment of Susan Linda Wilkinson and Graham William Donaldson as Members of the Churches Conservation Trust.

Belinda Lewis has been appointed as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait in succession to Michael Davenport MBE. Ms Lewis will take up her appointment during April 2021.

Theresa Bubbear has been appointed as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Finland.

Peter Freeman has been appointed as new Chair of Homes England.

Mark White has been appointed as the UK’s second Groceries Code Adjudicator. He replaces Christine Tacon.

The Queen has approved the nomination of the Reverend Canon William Malcolm Macnaughton to the Suffragan See of Repton.

Charlie Taylor has been appointed as Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Prisons.

Amit Bhagwat has been appointed as a member of the Committee on Mutagenicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment (COM) for three years from 1 September 2021.

The appointments of Dr Carol Beevers and Dr Stephen Dean as members of the COM have been extended for nine months from 1 April 2021 until 31 December 2021.

House of Lords

Lord Elton (Conservative) retired on 29 October.

Lord Shutt of Greetland (Liberal Democrat) passed away on 30 October.

Baroness Casey of Blackstock (Crossbench, life peer) entered the House of Lords on 30 October.

Lord Woodley (Labour, life peer) entered the House of Lords on 2 November.

Welsh Government

Sarah (Saz) Willey has been reappointed as member to the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales.

Northern Ireland Executive

John West, Anya O’Connor and Patricia Corbett have been appointed as new members of the Board of Tourism Northern Ireland.

Terence Brannigan has been reappointed as Chair of the Board of Tourism Northern Ireland and Angelina Fusco, Terry McCartney, Michele Shirlow, Colin Neill and Geoff Wilson have been reappointed as members for a second term of up to three years.

Northern Ireland Assembly

MLA for West Tyrone Catherine Kelly has resigned.

Labour Party

Jeremy Corbyn has been suspended from the Labour Party. He now sits as an Independent.
