Government departments
Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
Conor Colgan, James Shouler, Richard Sparey and Steve Thompson have been appointed as board members of the Beef and Lamb sector
Lord Blencathra, Henry Robinson, Marian Spain and Sue Hartley have been appointed to the board of Natural England.
Catherine Dugmore has been appointed Chair of the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee.
Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport
Allan Lambert and Fiona Pollard have been appointed as trustees of the VisitEngland Board for a term of 4 years, from 5 March 2018 to 6 March 2022.
Rupert Gavin has been reappointed as Chair of Historic Royal Palaces until 2021.
Sally Bolton has been appointed as a member of the board of UK Sport.
Foreign and Commonwealth Office
Rob Marcaire has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Iran, succeeding Nicholas Hopton.
Department for Transport
Alan Massey has announced that he will retire from his position as Chief Executive of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency at the end of the year.
Ministry of Justice
Russell Aguis has been appointed as an independent member for two years.
House of Commons
Daniel Zeichner has been appointed as member of the Petitions Committee, replacing Susan Elan Jones.
House of Lords
Lord Sanderson of Bowden retired on 29 March.
European Parliament
This week, MEPs are carrying out external parliamentary activities. There is no formal activity at the European Parliament.
