HM Treasury
Georgina O’Leary has been appointed as the Government’s new fintech envoy for Northern Ireland.
Richard Theo has been appointed as the Government’s new fintech envoy for Wales.
Ministry of Defence
Andy Adams has been appointed as Chief Constable of the Ministry of Defence Police, having been in the role on an interim basis.
Neil Swift has been appointed as Chief Executive of the Single Source Regulations Office, having been in the role on an interim basis.
Home Office
Kevin Hyland has announced his intention to step down as the UK’s Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner.
House of Commons
The House of Commons will be in recess Friday 25 May – Monday 4 June.
House of Lords
Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd and Lord Vaux of Harrowden have replaced Lord Haskins and Lord Skidelsky as members of the EU Financial Affairs Sub-Committee.
Lord Cameron of Dillington has replaced Lord Curry of Kirkharle as a member of the EU Energy and Environment Sub-committee.
Lord Russell of Liverpool has replaced Lord Mawson as a member of the EU Internal Market Sub-Committee.
Baroness Andrews has been appointed as a member of the Delegated Powers and Regulatory Reform Committee.
Lord Chartres has replaced Baroness Watkins of Tavistock as a member of the Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee.
Lord True has been appointed as Chair of the Intergenerational Fairness and Provision Committee. Baroness Bakewell, Lord Bichard, Baroness Blackstone, Baroness Crawley, Baroness Greengross, Lord Hollick, Lord Holmes of Richmond, Baroness Jenkin of Kennington, Lord Price, Baroness Thornhill and Baroness Tyler of Enfield have been appointed as members.
Lord Bassam of Brighton has been appointed as Chair of the Regenerating Seaside Towns and Communities Committee. Lord Cashman, Lord Grade of Yarmouth, Lord Knight of Weymouth, Bishop of Lincoln, Lord Lucas, Lord McNally, Lord Mawson, Lord Shutt of Greetland, Lord Smith of Hindhead, Baroness Valentine, Baroness Whitaker and Baroness Wyld have been appointed as members.
Lord Foster of Bath has been appointed as Chair of the Rural Economy Committee.
