Millie Banerjee appointed as Chair of the College of Policing
Gillian Tully reappointed as Forensic Science Regulator at the Forensic Science Regulator
Department of Health
Stephen Powis has been appointed as Medical Director NHS England, replacing Bruce Keogh in 2018
Department for Education
Ken Clark has been reappointed as a member of the School Teachers’ Review Body
Gerry Berragan will become Chief Executive of the Institute for Apprenticeships on 27th November
Alan Wood has been appointed as Chair of the Residential Care Leadership Board
Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy
Ruth McKernan has announced that she will stand down as Chief Executive of Innovate UK in Spring 2018
Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
Ian Bateman and Colin Galbraith have been reappointed as independent members of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee
Foreign and Commonwealth Office
Joanne Lomas has been appointed British High Commissioner to the Republic of Rwanda and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Burundi, succeeding William Gelling
Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport
Roland Rudd has been appointed as a trustee at the Tate
House of Commons
Intelligence and Security Committee
Richard Benyon, Ian Blackford, Caroline Flint, Dominic Grieve, David Hanson, Kevan Jones and Keith Simpson have been appointed as members.
Selection Committee
Esther McVey and Mark Spencer have replaced Christopher Pincher and Julian Smith as members.
Public Accounts Commission
Richard Bacon, Jack Brereton, Nicholas Brown, Martyn Day, Clive Efford, Julian Knight and Edward Leigh have been appointed as members.
James Cartlidge and Ian Murray have left the Commission.
House of Lords
- Lord Geidt has been introduced into the House of Lords.
- Lord Hogan Howe has been introduced into the House of Lords.
- Sarah Clarke has been appointed as the new Black Rod. She will formerly take on her duties as Lady Usher of the Black Rod at the start of new year, taking over from David Leakey who will leave the position at the end of the year.
- Lord Imbert (crossbench, life peer) passed away on 13th November.
- Lord Mitchell has moved from non-affiliated to crossbench.
European Parliament
This week, the European Parliament will be holding Committee meetings in Brussels.
