Government departments
Mark Carney has been reappointed as Governor of the Bank of England until January 2020. Sir Jon Cunliffe has been reappointed as Deputy Governor of the Bank of England with responsibility of Financial Stability (more info).
Jonathan Browning and Zara Hyde Peters have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors to the Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (more info).
Helen Bitchenough has been appointed as South West Area Chair of Arts Council England at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (more info).
John Booth has been appointed as a Trustee of the Tate at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (more info).
Dr Andrew Waller and Ms Harriet Kemp have been appointed as members of the School Teachers’ Review Body at the Department for Education (more info).
House of Commons
The House of Commons returns from recess Tuesday 9th October.
House of Lords
The House of Lords returns from recess on Tuesday 9th October.
Scottish Parliament
Fulton MacGregor replaced Ben Macpherson as a member of the Justice Sub-Committee on Policing
Welsh Government
Dyfed Edwards has been announced as the first deputy chair of the board of the Welsh Revenue Authority (more info).
National Assembly for Wales
Caroline Jones has resigned from UKIP and now sits as an independent.
European Parliament
