UK Government
Baroness Fairhead resigned as Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion. (more info)
Baroness Manzoor resigned as Government Whip. (more info)
Robert Buckland QC was appointed as a Minister of State at the Ministry of Justice on 9 May 2019. He was previously Solicitor General. (more info)
Paul Maynard was appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice on 9 May. He was previously Government Whip (Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury) and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport from July 2016 to January 2018. (more info)
Dr Andrew Murrison MP was appointed as a Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development on 9 May 2019. (more info)
Dame Vera Baird has been appointed the new Victims’ Commissioner and will take over the role from Baroness Newlove in mid-June 2019. (more info)
The Prime Minister has reappointed Baroness Kay Andrews as Wales Committee Chair for the National Heritage Fund for three years from 1 April 2019.(more info)

Ms Deborah Bronnert CMG has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation. (more info)

Simon Armitage has been appointed as the UK’s new Poet Laureate following Dame Carol Anne Duffy’s tenure. (more info)
The Secretary of State has extended Peter Ainsworth as Chair and Nat Sloane as England Committee Chair at the National Lottery Community Fund from 1 June 2019 to 30 November 2019.(more info)
