Government Departments
Department for International Trade
Lord Price has stood down from his position as Minister of State for Trade Policy. A new Lords Minister is yet to be appointed. In the meantime, Greg Hands has taken on the trade policy portfolio.
Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy
David Cannadine, Joyce Tait, Max Lu, Ottoline Leyser and Suranga Chandratillake have been appointed as members of the Council for Science and Technology.
Department for Education
Mark Riddell has been appointed National Implementation Adviser for Care Leavers.
Ministry of Justice
Jennifer Portway, Jill Gramann, Linda Lee, Rachel Ellis and Robert Ward have been appointed as Commissioners at the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
Ministry of Defence
Brendan Connor, Jon Westbrook and Ken Mayhew have been reappointed as members of the Armed Forces’ Pay Review Body.
House of Lords
Lord Blencathra has replaced Baroness Fookes as Chair of the Delegated Powers and Regulatory Reform Committee.
Devolved Institutions
Scottish Government
Caroline Kennedy, David Eiser, Hugh Foy, Katie Schmuecker and Sally Witcher have been appointed as Commissioners of the Poverty and Inequality Commission.
Scottish Parliament
John Scott has been elected Deputy Convener of the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee.
Graham Simpson has been elected Convener of the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee.
National Assembly for Wales
The National Assembly for Wales is in recess until Monday 18th September.
European Parliament
The European Parliament will be in Strasbourg this week for a plenary session.
