Government departments
Lord Prior has been named as the new Chair of NHS England, replacing Sir Malcolm Grant (more info).
Amanda Calvert, Anne-Toni Rodgers, Barbara Bannister, Bruce Campbell and Stephen Lightfoot have been appointed as non-executive directors of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (more info).
Sheldon Mills has been appointed Director of Competition at the Financial Conduct Authority (more info).
Catherine Armour has been appointed director of customer division at the Ministry of Defence (more info).
Sir Geoffrey Adams has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, replacing John Casson. He will take up the role in September 2018 (more info).
Melanie Robinson has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe. She will take up the role in January 2019 (more info).
Tim Torlot has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, replacing Chris Allan. He will take up the role in summer 2019 (more info).
Alastair Clifton has been appointed as the new Head of Media, Campaigns and Planning at HM Land Registry (more info).
Dr Andrew Waller and Harriet Kemp have been appointed as members of the School Teachers’ Review Body (more info).
Helen Birchenough has been appointed South West Area Chair of Arts Council England for a term of four years, starting on 5th December 2018 (more info).
