  Government

David Lelliott has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of El Salvador at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (more info).

David McIlroy has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (more info).

Mr Neil Bush has been appointed as Head of the United Kingdom’s Delegation to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (more info).

Jeremy Moore has been appointed Chair of BPDTS Ltd at the Department for Work and Pensions (more info). Valerie Gordon-Walker has been appointed as non-executive director (more info).

Ben Elliot has been appointed as the Government’s first Food Surplus and Waste Champion at the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (more info).

Dame Colette Bowe and Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia have been appointed as external members of the Financial Policy Committee at HM Treasury (more info).

   House of Commons

John Redwood, Gary Streeter and Alan Campbell have received knighthoods.

Edward Leigh, Philip Dunne and Roger Gale have joined the Privy Council.

Fiona Onasanya has been expelled from the Labour Party.

Andrew Bowie has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Prime Minister.

 House of Lords

Lord Higgins has retired as a Conservative life peer.

European Parliament

This week, the European Parliament will be in Brussels for Committee meetings and Group meetings.
