Anita Bharucha has been appointed as chair of the Police Remuneration Review Body and the National Crime Agency Remuneration Review Body at the Home Office (more info).

Katie Kapernaros and John Osmond have been appointed as directors to the BPDTS board at the Department for Work and Pensions (more info).

Mr Neil Wigan OBE has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Israel at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (more info).

Mr Ben Fender OBE has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (more info).

Mr Colin Martin-Reynolds CMG has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (more info).

Professor Richard Dawson has been appointed to the Adaptation Sub-Committee of the Committee on Climate Change at the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (more info).

Douglas Gurr has been appointed as a Trustee of the National Gallery at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (more info).

Irene Lucas has been named as Management Board Chair of the Education and Skills Funding Agency at the Department for Education (more info).

Kate Terroni has been appointed Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care at the Care Quality Commission within the Department for Health and Social Care (more info).

Michael Jary has been appointed as Lead Non-Executive Director at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (more info).

House of Lords

Liberal Democrat life peer Lord Smith of Clifton retired on 31 January.

Crossbench life peer Lord Cullen of Whitekirk retired on 1 February.

Nicola Blackwood (Baroness Blackwood of North Oxford) joined the House of Lords on 1 February.

European Parliament
