New Year wishes, vines and resolutions on social media
Social media has been a popular medium used by people world over to convey their New Year wishes to friends and loved ones. According to a Cision Social Media analysis, there have been over 29 million posts and mentions with the keywords ‘New Year’ across online platforms over the past five days, spiking after 4pm on 31 Dec until 4am on 1 January.
Many have also taken to social media platforms to share their resolutions for the year ahead. Based on a ranking of (English-only) keywords associated with resolutions since Dec. 25, Twitter Data lists the top aspirations and intentions that users have collectively shared on Twitter:
