New CisionPoint: prettier, easier, faster, networked
It’s a big week here at Cision.
On Monday we rolled out a new version of our CisionPoint PR software that we believe is a significant step towards future media relations management. Big claim, huh? Well, when you see it, I think you’ll see the direction this particular round of changes presages.
There’s lots of information on the release’s details already out there, so rather than add the Cision UK Blog voice to that particular clamour I wanted to look at the initial response to the release. There were a few hundred tweets relating to the upgrade on Monday and Tuesday, and I’m delighted to say that the majority were positive, as evinced by the word cloud below showing the fifty most popular terms used in association with Cision over the past 72 hours.
It’s great for us to see “faster”, “easy” and “easier” in there alongside more general terms of praise (“glad”, “good”, “love”) ,not only because speed and ease-of-use were such key drivers of recent development, but also because a new interface for familiar software will always present challenges and slow people down. In light of this, the nicest word to see is “thanks”.
While we’re happy to bask in these plaudits (please do keep them coming), we shan’t be resting on our laurels we need to know what you – whether you are a PR, a journalist or a blogger, whether you are freelance or work for a large organisation – want us to be doing in the future. We think we already know, but are glad to be proved wrong. Let us know…
