Mail Online’s CMO Sean O’Neal joins Adaptly
Adaptly, a social advertising technology company, has appointed Sean O’Neal as the company’s first president. Sean joins the firm from The Daily Mail Online where he served as the chief marketing officer for a year.
In this role, Sean is expected to lead Adaptly’s growth strategy into new markets and oversee the development of strategic partner relationships. He will report to Adaptly chief executive and co-founder Nikhil Sethi.
‘Sean brings nearly 20 years of marketing and technology experience to Adaptly,’ said Nikhil. ‘We are entering into an incredibly exciting stage of our growth and Sean’s extensive experience with scaling businesses will help us to continue our rapid acceleration.’
Adaptly provides advertisers with a centralised solution for planning, managing and analysing cross-network social spends. The company revealed today that its mobile spending has spiked from less than 5% in 2012 to over 70% in 2013. Adaptly therefore plans to tap into emerging markets to capatalise on the growing mobile and digital spends.
Prior to Mail Online, Sean worked in companies including Vizu Corporation, the online ad research company sold to Nielsen in July 2012, Datran Media, Sony Online Entertainment and CD-Now.
