Edelman hires CNBC’s Niaz Samadizadeh to lead content offering
Edelman UK has appointed Niaz Samadizadeh to the newly created position of head of sponsored content and media partnerships. Niaz will be responsible for strengthening and expanding Edelman UK’s paid content offering. He will report to Jo Sheldon, executive director, media strategy, Edelman.
Niaz joins the agency after 16 years at CNBC where he was most recently head of creative solutions. Prior to this role, he was head of news where he managed the running of the CNBC EMEA news room. Niaz began his career as a digital business journalist at European Business News.
Jo Sheldon was quoted in the press release saying: ‘As marketing disciplines converge and storytelling increasingly becomes the new advertising, paid content is a great way to supercharge the earned and owned content we work with clients to create. As an agency we are ideas and content rich so feel well placed to understand what makes great, value add content in the new paid space. Niaz will be a valuable addition to the Edelman UK team.’
Niaz added: ‘Everyone is in the content generation game these days but I believe Edelman is perfectly placed to deliver ground breaking campaigns for brands that will complement and enhance the content offerings already provided by established distribution platforms,’ said Niaz.
