Cision Breakfast Club: videos online

The videos from the recent Cision Breakfast Club are now available online. Cision was joined by Tatler’s travel editor Francisca Kellett, Mademoiselle Robot blogger Laetitia Wajnapel and freelance journalist and PR Dina Behrman to discuss pitch tips, press trips and social media.

Covering the best ways to contact (email, email, email!), the three discuss how cultivated relationships are better than unsolicited calls. Their differing views on contact via social media highlights the importance of getting to know the journalist, editor or blogger before initial contact. Thankfully, CisionPoint’s Media Database has journalist profiles which provide pitching information for each individual.

Press trips proved to be the most popular topic of the audience questions and the three guests covered group sizes, places, invitations and times. Press trips also came up in the best and worst experiences of PR – I’ll leave you to discover how.
