News & current affairs

• The CN Group, publishers of the North West Evening News and Cumberland News, are set to launch a new daily, ’24 – The North’s National’ on June 20th. The 40 page tabloid will be available from the 20^th June and will be priced at 40p. The majority of the content will be provided by the Press Association and the title will be edited by Mike Haworth
• Magnus Llewellin has been appointed Scottish editor at The Times. He is currently the editor in chief at the Herald & Times Group and replaces Les Snowdon who is joining The Sun. Lindsay McIntosh, currently Scottish political editor, will be deputy editor
• Arthur Beesley has been appointed European diplomatic correspondent at the Financial Times. He will be based in Brussels and report to new Brussels bureau chief Alex Barker. Beesley joins from the Irish Times where he was economics editor
• Andy Richardson has been named the new editor at the Northern Echo. Currently the business editor he replaces Peter Barron the former editor
• Anthony Neeson has been appointed editor of the Andersonstown News. He was previously deputy editor at the title
• Natalie Walker has been appointed community reporter at the Lancashire Evening Post. She was previously senior reporter at the Wigan Evening Post
• James Millar has left his role as Westminster correspondent at the Sunday Post

Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment

• Hannah Dunn has been promoted to deputy digital editor at redonline.co.uk. She was previously junior content editor at the website
• Lydia Thompson has been appointed beauty editor and Chloe Burcham has been appointed deputy beauty editor at LOOK magazine. Also Gabrielle Dyer has been promoted to beauty writer from her previous role as beauty assistant
• Joel Snape has been promoted to editor at large at Men’s Fitness from his previous role as associate editor
• India Dowley has been appointed travel editor at SUITCASE. She was previously the news and online editor at Square Meal
• Catherine Courtenay has been appointed assistant editor at Devon Life. She looks after the food and drink section as well as gardening
• Megan Close has been appointed editorial assistant at Closer magazine
• Melissa Gillespie has been appointed editorial assistant and PA to the editor at HELLO! Fashion Monthly

Business and finance

• Danielle Myles has been appointed investment banking and capital markets editor at The Banker. She joins from her role as editor at the International Financial Law Review
• Katie Scott has been appointed reporter at Employee Benefits
• Rebecca Hancock has been appointed reporter at Insurance Day

Health, science and technology

• Victoria Woollaston has been appointed digital editor at WIRED.CO.UK. She was previously acting UK science and technology editor at MailOnline
• Matthew Reynolds has been appointed guides editor at Eurogamer. He was previously the gaming editor at Digital Spy
