- Media Scotland has announced the launch of a new website Glasgow Live on April 18th. The new website will feature local news, weather, traffic, what’s on and lifestyle content and will be edited by Gregor Kyle. The new website follows the recent launch of sister Trinity Mirror titles Belfast Live and Dublin Live
- The Chronicle has been relaunched with a new look. It will feature a new section ChronLife which will bring more What’s On content as well as lifestyle content and a daily business briefing
- John Pienaar has been appointed deputy political editor at BBC News. Currently chief political correspondent, he will replace James Landale who is becoming BBC diplomatic correspondent
- Stephen Bush has been appointed special correspondent at the New Statesman
- Nancy Fielder has now started her role as editor at the Star
- Geoff Earle has announced via Twitter that he is to join the Daily Mail next week as deputy US political editor
- Louise Berwick has been appointed reporter at the Daily Star. She was previously content editor at the Kent and Sussex Courier
- Alice Rose has been appointed reporter at the South Wales Argus covering Newport city centre
- Laura Enfield and Alex McIntyre have both been appointed senior reporters at the Wharf
- Shruti Sheth has been appointed reporter at the Bucks Free Press
- West Wolds Radio is to close on April 16th after five months on air. The Pocklington based station blames financial losses for the decision

- The Mark Allen Group, publishers of Gramophone, Jazzwise and Songlines, have renamed the company that houses the music titles. Previously known as MA Business & Leisure Limited, it is now called MA Music, Leisure & Travel Limited.
- Anna Lewis has been appointed digital news and entertainment editor at Cosmopolitan. She was previously deputy editor at heatworld.com
- Louise Schwartzkoff has been appointed UK culture and events editor at Time Out London
- Murray Stassen has been promoted to deputy editor at Music Week. He was previously senior staff writer at the title
- Amanda Nicholls has been appointed editor at The Bristol Magazine
- Giselle La Pompe-Moore has been appointed beauty coordinator at Stylist
- Annie Davies has been appointed editorial assistant at PRO Hair & Beauty
Business and finance
- Following a corporate restructure of the Mark Allen Group, Findlay Media Ltd has changed its name with immediate effect to MA Business and will manage the Group’s wide portfolio of B2B brands and events.
- Lauren Fedor has been appointed early companies reporter at the Financial Times. She was previously chief reporter at City A.M.
- Bill Boyle has been appointed managing editor at Capacity and Global Telecoms Business. He replaces Alex Hawkes who left last week
- Sophie McIntyre has been appointed editorial manager at Spear’s
- Jake Davies has been promoted to editor at Poultry World. He replaces former editor Philip Clarke who has now become executive editor (news and business) at Farmers Weekly
- Samuel Horti has been appointed digital news editor at Property Week. He was previously senior reporter and acting news editor at Chemist+Druggist
- Julieta Cuneo has been appointed assistant editor at Global Reinsurance
- Martin Croucher has been appointed news editor at Post magazine
- Sonya Hook has been appointed news editor at Off Licence News
- Davide Ghilotti has been appointed chief reporter at Industrial Minerals. He was previously market reporter at FOODNEWS

- Martin Bryant is to step down as editor at large at The Next Web in May
- Christina Mercer has been promoted to online editor at TECHWORLD and COMPUTERWORLD UK. She was previously assistant online editor at the websites
