Why should people read your blog? What makes it different?

Wood & Luxe is fun adventure blog that makes you feel like you are there experiencing the adventure you are reading about. The tone of voice is upbeat but laid back and inspires readers to travel more and do more.

How do you measure the success of your website?

Social engagement, blog views, website visits.

What’s your favourite blog and why? 

I have so many it’s hard to nail it down to one. I love Gary Pepper Vintage for her beautiful photography and the tone of voice on A Modern Wayferer

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a blog?

Find your niche, don’t procrastinate building it (it’s never going to be perfect – think of it as a work in progress) and be authentic with your stories.
How do you work with marketers and PRs?

Partnerships, press trips & reviews and sponsored posts.

Who do you work with in brand marketing? PRs? SEOs? Anyone else?

Directly with travel companies, PR’s, search companies and online publications

Can you list five best practices for blogger outreach? 

1. Identify your target audience

2. Ensure they have legitimate and engaging followers

3. Have all your ducks in a row before you approach a blogger

4. Always align with bloggers that have similar brand values

5. Sometimes bigger reach isn’t always better.
What has been your blogging highlight?

Sailing around the coast of Turkey with an amazing bunch of people.

What will be big in your blogosphere in the coming months?

Loads more European based content on the blog as I have moved from Australia to London.
