Political Updates 28th August 2019
This week’s Political Updates covers moves and changes at all levels of government.
UK Government
Dr Jennifer Hoyle, Daniel shears and Lesley Francois are the three new members who have been appointed to the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council. They will hold this position for 5 years, beginning on 1 September 2019.
Alec Don has been named as the new Defence Electronics and Components Agency Chairman.
Dr Christian Turner CMG has been appointed British High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in succession of Thomas Drew CMG. Dr Turner will take up his appointment by December 2019.
Stephen Campbell has been appointed Chief information Officer at the Student Loans Company.
Dr June Raine will become interim Chief Executive of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. She will take up this position from 20 September 2019.
Paul Newby to leave Pubs Code Adjudicator role at the end of four year term.
Welsh Government
Rajma Begum, Dafydd Trystan Davies, Hannah Murphy, Delyth Evans, and Nicola Mead-Batten are the five new board members of Sports Wales, appointed by the Welsh Government.
